Review: UNSC Hornet Attack

OK guys, a quick review for today: the red UNSC Hornet Attack set! The Hornet is one of my favourite vehicles so I’m excited to write about it. This 265-piece set includes an exclusive red Hornet, Covenant Battle Platform, a red UNSC Pilot with M6D pistol, a red Hayabusa with Katana, and a Covenant Jackal with a Carbine and shield. Wow; that’s a lot of stuff in one box.

I’ll come out and say that I absolutely love any of our exclusive red sets. The shade of red is just too cool. But this set in particular looks very imposing in red!

The cockpit for the Pilot. The cockpit door is one of the coolest features of this model. It has a very smooth sliding mechanism that lets it open and close rather than flipping open like most models.

The dual VTOL engines in the rear can also rotate 360 degrees!

And the aileron flaps at the back — used to steer the Hornet — both rotate as well.

And that’s it for the Hornet!

Now for the Covenant Tower! There’s actually something I want to talk about here; there’s a part of the instructions that’s a bit vague, so I wanted to show you:

When you attach this piece to the bottom, make sure you only connect it to the top two pieces of this blok as circled; otherwise, it won’t stay attached.

I would not want to be trapped on a tall platform with a Hayabusa sneaking up behind me!

    I like the coveant guard tower.it would really make a good piece fo my custom covenant base i got!p.s. The covenant base is made from the phantom,locust,seraph and vampire!it is a very odd looking base.i will make a video on youtube.the base is about 2 feet long!

    i recently found this set at my local target and i must say im quite impressed with it and the detailing on the jackal and the tower is awesome!!! :D
    pros :) :hornet and tower are awesome!
    jackal, surprising detail!
    cons:ramps on the tower dont stay on easily, gun on the front of the hornet keeps falling off
    score:9.25/10 a nice set and i recamend it to you

    I just got the red UNSC Troop Transport Warthog :D

    Now this set comes with everything I love:
    1.Brute with Brute shot
    2. Two red Spartans
    3. Red Warthog

    If you do not have this set, I suggest you get it right NOW.

    its awesome,the red spartan is coolest minig in the set,well the red pilot is also cool but not as much as the hayabusa :D

    I really like the red theme sets esspicaily the HORNET ATTACK beacause of the red hyabusa plus the red jackal shield is really great. What sucks is I can not afford it :( sorry about bad spelling I have only been studying english for 2 years

    Wow, it looks awsm. But i cant find it anywhere, plus the jackal is the one covey species i’m missing and i cant find any sets that have them, anyone seen them in tasmania, Australia.

    Hey I got that set the nly problem was the covenant platform.It wouldn,t stay together so I used its parts to make my own cool covenant deamon.ill post it up so you guys can see it but i don,t know when

    I have had trouble putting mega blocks together can some of you give me tips????? Also I know I’m getting this for my birthday and is this easy to put together and is the Gremlin easy to put together and I do use the manual.

    I got this set yesterday. And it is cool! The only problem is that the pieces wouldn’t fit together right at first,but hey it worked out alright. Two there needs to be more white and blue vehicle’s,maybe even orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think the hornet is pretty cool bieng red. And you may think the red Hayabusa with Katana is cool (and it really is) but there is a yellow one with the pelican set i just got for christmas. I still think the set is pretty wicked though.

    Looks like a very good REALISTIC design as the machine truuets are placed on the wings, the hatch for the driver slides, not swivels open and the addition of the tower is good to. Only one prob thoughMB.

    This is an insane set!! There is only one problem I have though…. There are so many good sets that are coming out, but only exclusively.. I live in a small town that doesn’t have target, toysrus, walmart, etc. and it is SUPER hard to find these online for a fair price. Can you start releasing some of these so that anyone can get them?? They are just too cool to pass up, but it’s no fun trying to go way out of your way to find one.

    i think this hornet is way better than the old one because
    it has a sliding cockpit, a turning machine gun and
    two vtol engines that can turn 360!
    i also like the covenant sniper tower!

    halo two on the seashore}

    thoase rocket launchers are near the wings look so cool having them attached instead of nothing like the old one. plus the swinging back and forth windscreen and the jackle gravitylift and the hornet red colour.

    on another note i just got the red combat unit set today, i noticed that the marines and spartans share the same legs, and the flame marines share that and the torso with spartans, now all i need is this set, and both weapons packs to get the full red team stuff (although the red brute will be killed like my purple one), secondly i hope mega bloks re-releases the older sets-remodled though and with fewer spartans, brutes, and elites, and more flame marines, pilots, marines, jackals, grunts, and hunters

    I agree, all the red sets are just plain cool! The Hornet is no exception. Haven’t gotten around to picking this one up yet, but definitely on the wants list. The platform is a great addition. From the start of the line I’ve hoped for structures, this set delivers on that. Just hope we’ll get more soon!

    OMG its so cool I definetely want it for X-mas!!!!!!
    my suggestions for futur sets are :
    1.add more covenant sets
    2.give elites needlers or plasma rifles instead of beam rifles
    3.add more hunters!!!
