Power Rangers Megaforce Preview: New Figure Style

Hey Power Rangers fans! Our new collection Mega Bloks Power Rangers Megaforce will be hitting stores this Spring. One of the new things we’ve done this year is completely re-imagined our figures from the ground-up with a focus on action and battle poses.

In addition to both the arms and legs using ball joints, we’ve added articulation to the ankles! This makes the figure easy to manipulate even while it’s attached to block pegs, and adds a surprising amount of posing diversity. Check out some more poses we did:

Our Megaforce collection has a lot of cool new weapons, vehicles, and Mechazords and Megazords! Stay tuned to the blog for more Mega Bloks Megaforce news.

These look worlds better than the lego-like minifigures previously offered, but they still pale before the Halo minifigures. I like that you’re adding ball jointed shoulders, hips and ankles but what’s the point of ankles if there are no knees?

oh, also a site bug: when you click on the link at the bottom of a post “You must be logged in to comment” it takes you to the WP-login screen, not the megabloks login screen

You’ll understand once you get them. The design is both simple and versatile, with a lot of stability that allows you to continue to move it while it’s mounted. We wanted to do something simple and sleek to reflect the design of the Power Rangers. I think it’s pretty great!

I was a little disappointed they wouldn’t match my samurai rangers figures, at first, but these look absolutely brilliant. Nice touch bundling the black ranger with the Roboknight zord tank. Does this mean we might see a pink ranger bundled in another set?

I have to agree. I have collected almost every Mega Bloks Power Ranger/Super Sentai figure out, and was sorely disappointed at the first preview pictures of the Megaforce/Goseiger line. This has me doing a complete 180. While they won’t match the other figures in the line, it’s like they mixed the look of the previous line with the ability to pose the figures. I’ll still have to wait and see, but I am definitely more excited at the new line.
