To show off our all-new Halo micro action figure, we asked our in-house 3D artist to come up with something cool that animates the system in action. Holy moly did he ever deliver!
Another awesome event in the bag. San Diego Comic Con is behind us and we had a blast meeting current and future fans alike. This year we spent it a little differently than in years past, but it was still an amazing event to witness firsthand.
Wow, we had a lot of fun at RTX this year. It’s our first year heading down to Austin to support the guys from Rooster Teeth and their massive video game expo. I’m pretty sure it won’t be our last, because it was such an awesomely perfect weekend!
There’s nothing cooler for me to see than when fans submit really sharp, funny, cool photos of their Mega Bloks sets in our Collectors community. Many of the coolest set images always seem to come from the same source: Symon Six. So I reached out to him to ask a few questions about what it takes to create memorable photos.
When I first started managing the Mega Bloks community, one of the first names that I heard mentioned amongst fans was Goodwill Hunter. His handle had reached almost legendary status on the Mega Bloks forums and social media. So as I got to know him better, I decided to peek behind the curtain and see exactly what ingredients are needed to make a custom-building legend.
Ever wonder how much work goes into some of the massive builds we make for events? Well I’m the same way! So I recently visited our Creative Shop and asked a few questions about the process of putting together an impressive build I know very well – the 420,000-piece Halo Promethean Knight!
There are certain vehicles in the Halo universe that have become totally iconic to its very existence. The warthog has appeared in every Halo game since Combat Evolved, and also made a fair number of appearances during the six-year run of the Mega Bloks Halo line. It’s nearly as iconic to the series as Master Chief’s Mark VI green and gold helmet.
There’s already some great buzz online for this season’s three new micro-fleet sets. A mini Spartan helmet and an armed Spartan micro action figure accompany a micro-scale version of one of our bigger builds. But is the coolest accessory in these sets hidden around back? It will be for some collectors!
Just like in the Halo games, you’ll run across a lot of Ghosts when you look back at the whole series of Mega Bloks Halo sets. At last count, we’ve made five differently-designed Ghosts that appear in seven different sets. And I’m here to unabashedly tell you that this one’s the best. Hands down.
Mega Bloks Halo Series 8 micro action figures are already showing up on shelves and the collecting and comparing has begun! Which ones will YOU get?
