Choo choo! The Safari Train is an instant winner – a combination of two things little ones love: trains and zoo animals. A cheerful train engine chuffs down the tracks pulling along his brightly-coloured animal friends. The bright red Twin Mill™ III is a modern evolution of one of Hot Wheels’ first ever, original designs – the original Twin Mill™. Perched up on a pair of huge rear wheels, this car is shaped like a jaguar slinking towards the kill. A pair of raised engines and twin side exhausts emphasize the tremendous power under the hood, daring anyone to get in its way.

This is another quick build at 66 pieces. It took me 15 minutes of devoted building time, plus an extra 30 minutes spent carefully repositioning flames and engines of course to see what looks coolest… I can’t easily tame the customization fan inside me! (please note that these photos are of the original build – customization photos coming later this week)

Like Bone Shaker^™ and Twinduction^™, this set comes with its own member of Team Hot Wheels. Twin Mill™ III comes with the Team Hot Wheels red figure with a custom flaming helmet. All figures have an incredibly articulated ball joint connection system, so they can move in a whole variety of unexpected ways.

With their exposed prongs, trademark flames and unique poseable figures, these Mega Bloks Hot Wheels cars are the sweetest new toys of the season for me – a self-described model car nerd.

Mega Bloks Hot Wheels allow for infinite customization – the only limit is your imagination! We’ll show you some great, custom rigs using parts from the different sets in the next few weeks. I’ve already taken a tour of the office to find the best of the best. None of us can resist the draw of the custom build!

It features a cobalt blue Security Spartan as last man standing, armed with a Shotgun. He’s up against four zombie-fied Spartans. You’ll get infected Recon, EVA, EOD and CQB Spartans, all decked out in glow-in-the-dark armour and armed with translucent Energy Swords.

Bone Shaker™ is one of Hot Wheels’ most iconic original vehicles. With a huge, glaring skull on its front end, this is not the car you want to see tearing up on you in the rearview. Finished off with a set of flames licking up the sides under the dual side exhausts, this car owns the road.

At 71 pieces, this is a fairly straight-forward build the first time you put it together. Putting the skull on as the final touch is definitely something I recommend. It gives it an authoritative punch of power just before it’s ready to fire up its engines.

Bone Shaker™ comes with a Team Hot Wheels yellow figure with a fierce custom-designed helmet. Like the other figures that come with every Mega Bloks Hot Wheels set, it has an incredibly articulated ball joint connection system, so it can move in a whole variety of unexpected ways.

The classic Hot Wheels Bone Shaker^™ comes in two versions – with and without a roof. The great thing about construction toys is that you can make these kinds of customizations yourself. Want your Mega Bloks Bone Shaker^™ to be open-top? Simply remove the roof and hit the road with the wind in your…helmet.

So that’s another beast of a car in the Mega Bloks Hot Wheels line revealed. (See my Twinduction^™ post here.) Hot Wheels fans: We have more cars to share with you as part of our Fall 2013 line-up. The Booster Frame is actually a rebuild from three smaller sets. Let’s take a look at those first.

First up is the UNSC C&C Console. This set includes a UNSC Marine in white medic armor with three smoke-camo weapons – the powerful Railgun, an Assault Rifle and a DMR.

The second set is the UNSC Hangar Deck. It comes with a Cyan EVA Spartan with a Shotgun, a Socom and an SMG, also all modeled in an awesome smoke-camo to add some weapon range to any collector’s set.

And last but not least is the Forerunner Terminal. Guarding the terminal is a Promethean Alpha Crawler – easily identifiable by its translucent spikes. The terminal comes equipped with a weapon rack and two gunmetal weapons – a Suppressor and a Scattershot.

I had an awesome time building up the three sets and then rebuilding them into the Booster Frame, ready to overwhelm the enemy with its devastating firepower. These sets are part of our new Fall 2013 line and are already starting to hit stores! Keep an eye out for them!

The Twinduction^™ car screams power – I’ve always wanted to tear down a darkened road in one of these bad boys. Its intimidating front-end grill glares out at you from under a raised twin induction manifold engine. It comes in a cool shade of blue that’s flecked with metallic highlights. It is one ferocious, modern muscle car.

Building this beast of a car from scratch was a lot of fun for a muscle car fan like me. It’s a fast build at 63 pieces, but seeing the car coming together before your eyes is pretty exciting. The visible prongs on top of the car give it a distinctively buildable look that stands out.

Construction also means customization! We’ll take a closer look at that in a future blog post after we’ve revealed some of the other vehicles in the line. I can’t wait to show you some of the cool creations you can come up with by swapping parts between sets to build the ultimate racer!
